Cahors
Really nice town located within the bend of the river Lot. Famous for it's medieval bridge which is a "must See". The old part of town is fascinating and has lots of nice small shops and many good restaurants. Lovely place to wander.
The area is famous for its wine and there are a number of places to to taste & buy.

St Cirq-Lapopie
A wonderful hillside village. We think its even more beautiful than the more famous Rocamadour. Certainly it is less
'touristy'. There are some very nice shops and, of course, stunning views. Very much worth a visit.

Figeac
Another nice town with a great traffic free medieval town center. Worth a visit for the "broquant" shops. These are junk shops to some of us, antiques to others.

Limogne-en-Quercy
This is a small close by village; it has two claims to fame other than just being a pretty little place. It has a very nice small market on Sundays. AND in season (October through March) it has a truffle market on Friday's. If you're brave you can approach the truffle sellers before they've sold to the wholesale broker in his van and buy direct. Most will sell to you at the same price which is about 50% of wholesale & 25% of retail. Buyer beware, however!
